This was a project that many contractors walked away from—but we stepped in and made it happen. Located in a low-lying area of the neighborhood that experienced frequent flooding, the Aldridge backyard required innovative design, expert execution, and a permanent landscape drainage solution.
To manage the persistent water issues, we engineered and installed a custom underground storm drain system to handle runoff from neighboring lots and all gutter drains from the home. The gunite pool was elevated two feet above grade to prevent stormwater from ever entering and contaminating the water—an essential part of the drainage design.
From there, we completely transformed the space with:
- A redesigned septic system
- New irrigation and full landscape overhaul
- Fescue sod, a variety of trees, and shrub planting
- Linear drains integrated into the pool deck
- Imported Italian travertine and custom pavers
- A putting green, koi pond, and much more
